The rapper shares her son with husband Kenneth "Zoo" Petty
Nicki Minaj was able to spend some quality time with her son after wrapping up her concert — even though it was a little past his bedtime.
On Wednesday, Oct. 9, the rapper, 41, shared a carousel of photos on Instagram after her concert in Raleigh, N.C. on Oct. 8. In a few of the photos, Minaj can be seen posing with her 4-year-old son, holding him on her hip as she smiles.
The mother-son duo can also be seen looking into a mirror and posing together as Minaj embraces her son, whom they call "Papa Bear."
"#GagCityRaleigh was 1️⃣ for the 📚. I hope I made you guys as happy as you made me. It was a magical night. After a long night, I rushed back to the hotel just to see my little guy," Minaj wrote in her caption.
"I was sure he’d be asleep once I realized how late it was tho… but when I walked in, surprise- he was waiting up for mama. Until next time, North Carolina. Love you."

Minaj shares her son with husband Kenneth "Zoo" Petty.
Earlier this month, the "Super Freaky Girl" rapper shared her love for her son as she celebrated his fourth birthday on Instagram. The proud mom posted a series of silly videos and cute pictures from throughout his life, leaving a sweet message for her little one in the caption.
"Dear #PapaBear, Happy 4th birthday, buddy," she wrote. "You’ve made mama & daddy so happy. Since you were in mama’s tummy, you gave me a whole new meaning to life. Hope."
Since becoming a mom, Minaj says she's "more of a forgiving person."
"I think motherhood has made me see more good in people, more good in the universe," she said during a February 2022 appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
"When I look at my son, I'm reminded that I am so blessed," she continued. "I realized, for so many women, this is their dream. Their dream is to have a child and not everybody gets that blessing. So when you have a little baby, you are reminded every day like, 'Oh my God. Thank you God for this little gift.' "
