Nick 'Honey Badger' Cummins reveals huge I'm A Celebrity weight loss

The reality star was excited to leave the jungle and eat a real meal.

Nick 'Honey Badger' Cummins left I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! fans devastated on Thursday night after being evicted from the show just under two weeks after he entered the jungle.

The former rugby star was sent packing after failing to attract enough public votes to keep him safe for a little longer, with fans taking to social media to air their frustrations.

Speaking with news.com.au, Nick shared that he lost a shocking 8kg during his short stint on the show, revealing the rations and camp gym wasn't quite enough to sustain his huge frame.

"If I don’t do weights, I lose weight really quick," he told the publication. "The jungle weights aren’t that heavy – and besides, it’s more about survival in there with the calorie intake. You don’t want to be exerting too much in the gym there."

Often, contestants will be eating basic meals consisting of beans, rice and oats – though eating challenges may see some more exotic foods being consumed.

"Your wellbeing really drops. If you’re used to taking in a lot of calories, and you’re geared a certain way, it’s tough," he said. "You can actually feel it during the day, eating your muscles and eating your body. It’s not nice."

The star joked in a video on the I'm A Celebrity Instagram account that the first thing he'd "eat" would be "a lager of some description," and a "schooner of whatever they've got".

He added, "Those beans and rice are no good."

Nick continued, speaking about the experience, saying, "Not what I thought, it was actually far more challenging, however, far more rewarding. A lot of growth from it, I really enjoyed it."

His first meal coming out of the jungle was a shepherd's pie and some vegetables, with the reality star saying on Instagram, "I'm happy with this as my first meal coming out. I'm happy."

"That right there, is a good reason to be grateful."

Nick previously lost 10kg on SAS Australia after being on the show for 14 days, with the star describing himself as "looking like a lollipop" afterwards.

Fans took to social media to share their disappointment after Nick's eviction, with many saying he was their favourite contestant.

“I am so disappointed to see you go Nick," another added. "I was hoping you would win. What a gem of a human you are."

“I am shocked! I really thought Nick would be one of the finalists,” a third chimed in.

“It is very disappointing that the Honey Badger has gone, and for that my husband and I are no longer watching the show,” another remarked.
