NFL Star Christian Kirk and Wife Ozzy Are Expecting Their First Baby: 'The Best Gift We Ever Received'

NFL star Christian Kirk and his wife Ozzy Özkan Kirk are going to be parents!

The wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars, 28. and Ozzy, 29, shared the exciting news in a joint Instagram post on Dec. 24 and wrote that "Christmas is bringing us the best gift we could have ever received… a little Kirk on the way 🤍."

The couple shared a variety of sweet photos posed in front of their Christmas tree while holding up the sonogram. They also included several photos with their two dogs as well to show off their growing family.

Several of Christian's teammates took to the comments of their Instagram post to congratulate the pair on the news, including Jaguar's wide receiver Elijah Cooks, who wrote "Mom and dad finally got me a sibling 🥲."

Trevor and Marissa Lawrence — who previously announced that they were expecting their first baby girl back in June — also shared their congratulations to Christian and Ozzy as well. Trevor wrote that he was "Stoked for y’all" while Marissa shared that she "can’t wait to meet baby Kirk!"

Christian and Ozzy's pregnancy announcement comes eight months after the couple tied the knot on April 6 in Scottsdale, Ariz. In an Instagram post shared by Ozzy on April 4. she opened up about going on her first date with him back in 2020 and recalled that "dinner lasted over 4 hours."

"The servers had to politely ask us to leave 😂🤍," she wrote. "[But] I knew that night what we had was special."

In an interview with ELLE on Aug. 2, the couple reflected on their weekend celebrations and said it was important to have their wedding in their hometown because "we’re both from Arizona and obviously found love in Arizona, so there was a lot of history."

Their wedding — which was attended by Christian's NFL friends including the Lawrences, Josh Allan, Larry Fitzgerald, Kyler Murray, and A.J. Green — was designed to be a "party weekend with some formality to it" for "everybody to have fun and celebrate" with them.

On the day of the wedding, Christian opened up about his emotions before the ceremony and shared that he felt like he was "floating around because there’s so much anticipation."

"You’re trying to keep your nerves at bay," he continued. "But the closer it gets, the more those nerves start to rise."

When Ozzy walked down the aisle to Lana Del Rey's "Young and Beautiful," Ozzy recalled thinking that nothing could "mentally prepare you for that [moment].”

“It’s such an amazing feeling, being able to walk down the aisle and see Christian," she continued. "I had my parents walk first and wait for me...I loved that because I had Christian in front of me along with my mom and dad."
