'This is news to me': Love Island's Grant shocked at Tayla's split admission
Love Island Australia winner Tayla Damir announced today that she and boyfriend Grant Crapp have called time on their relationship, just two weeks after they scooped up the $50,000 prize money.
However, Grant has now spectacularly revealed that Tayla’s interview with The Fix, revealing the news of their split, was the first he had heard of it.
“This is new to me,” he commented underneath the official Love Island Australia’s link to the article on their Instagram account.
"I can’t wait to start a very non-Crapp future with you." @LoveIslandAU #LoveIslandAU

Fellow contestant, John James, who left the show after failing to find love during his time in the villa, also commented with a confusing emoji face, alongside the comment “Ummm they were together yesterday???”.
Tayla admitted that Grant’s ‘secret girlfriend’, Lucy, and rumours that he had only gone on the show to promote his business, were the reasons for the break-up, as she felt she couldn’t trust him anymore.
“I still respect him as a person and I just think he’s young and he’s made a massively bad decision, and didn’t really think of the consequences that maybe a girl would have fallen in love with him, which just happened to be me,” she told The Fix.
“I gave him multiple chances inside the Villa, and obviously once I found out this information as well, the lies just continued the last 10 days.

“There was no trust being built up with anything. I couldn’t be in a relationship with someone I don’t trust.”
Taking to her Instagram page, Tayla said that she and Grant will ‘remain amicable’, despite not being together any longer.
“I hope everyone can understand that the last few days have been very emotional and overwhelming for me and that you can all respect my decision,’ she wrote.
Tayla also told The Fix that she doesn’t regret splitting the $50,000 prize money with Grant, as she was in love with him at the time.
Meanwhile, Grant is yet to comment officially on the split but 18 hours ago he did take to his own Instagram page to post a throwback photos from inside the villa, claiming they were memories he’ll ‘cherish forever’.
Be has contacted both Grant and Tayla for comment.
