Katie Holmes under Scientology surveillance?

Katie Holmes fears she has been put under surveillance by Scientologists - after filing for divorce from Tom Cruise, it has been reported.

Sources close to the actress, told celebrity news website TMZ, that Katie believes Scientology now views her as a threat to the organisation and has put a team on her tail.

TMZ claimed that Scientology has been following Katie's moves for a few weeks - since discord broke out between her and Tom.

Furthermore photographers who have pictured Katie multiple times have told the website that several "mysterious" men and vehicles have been seen around Katie's apartment and following her when she's out.

Radar Online also reports that numerous sources have told them that the men are travelling in a black Mercedes SUV and a white Escalade and have been following Katie for the last couple of weeks.

TMZ, however notes, that "a publication" has also been tailing Katie, separately from the Scientologists, and it's unclear which the vehicles, constantly seen at her pad, are from.

The website called Scientology headquarters for a comment, but so far have not had a response.

Katie, 33, and Suri, 6, were spotted on June 28 moving their bags from the New York City apartment they shared with Tom Cruise to a new apartment in the city, People.com reported.

The new place is said to be near some of the pair's favourite places - including a gymnastics studio where Suri takes classes.

Tom Cruise remains in Iceland where he is filming his movie Oblivion. He was pictured yesterday riding in a helicopter - the first sight of him since the divorce filing on Friday.
