Margot Robbie on her night with Prince Harry

Aussie beauty Margot Robbie has opened up about the night she fell for Prince Harry in a candid interview on US TV Show Entertainment Tonight, revealing: ‘I didn’t know it was him for about half an hour talking to him!’

However, although she only planned to attend the pre-Christmas London event – hosted by UK ‘It girl’ Suki Waterhouse – ‘for 10 minutes’, she was apparently so besotted with Harry that she was still partying with him ‘six hours later’.

Margot told friends afterwards that she and down-to-earth Harry had an instant attraction, and she couldn’t believe he was a prince!

‘Harry and Margot’s fledgling romance has since gone from strength to strength,’ says the royal insider.

'He's very serious about her and it was a big step to ask his grandmother how she felt.'

Fortunately the Queen was 'thrilled' with the match – and so is Harry’s brother Prince William, who met the glamorous star in 2014 at a charity fundraising gala at Windsor Castle.

Royal protocol suggests any potential member of the royal family needs to acclimatise to their new life – as does Harry’s adoring public to his bride-to-be.

‘Harry wants to get this right with Margot,’ adds a second source.

‘He’s so smitten, he’s convinced she could be the one to finally cure his commitment phobia.'

They added: ‘Harry’s convinced his public will love her as much as he does. What this means for her career remains to be seen when they come out [as a couple].’
