Celine Dion shares touching tribute to her late husband
Celine Dion has shared a heartfelt tribute to her late husband René Angélil, who passed away yesterday from cancer.
'Surrounded by the love of his family and friends, René Angélil passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016, on the eve of his 74th birthday,' she wrote on Facebook.
'He will be remembered as a gentle man, generous and kind, an unprecedented visionary, a modern Pygmalion, a Renaissance man.
'All who had the privilege of knowing him and of working closely with him, whether personally or professionally, salute a leader and a man of great intelligence and wisdom.

The post also revealed upcoming details of his funueral.
'According to his final wishes, his Funeral will be held at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, where 21 years ago, he chose to marry the one who will remain as the great love of his life, the artist for which he had the most respect, the woman who gave him light and happiness until his very last breath.'
René Angélil died aged 73 after a long battle with cancer.
'Rene Angelil, 73, passed away this morning at his home in Las Vegas after a long and courageous battle against cancer,' a rep said in a statement to PEOPLE magazine.
'The family requests that their privacy be respected at the moment.'

Married for 21 years, Celine, 47, and her husband Rene, 73, were devastated when he was diagnosed with terminal throat cancer in 2013.
Together the couple have three kids - Rene-Charles, 14, and twins Nelson and Eddy, aged five.
The singer first met Rene when she was 12 and he was 38 - they started dating when she was 19 - and was there by his side until the end.
