Sofia Vergara is now happily engaged - and talking about having children - with fiance, Joe Manganiello, however she is embroiled in a bitter fued with ex, Nick Loeb over frozen embryos that were created when the pair were together.
The 42-year-old actress and her ex-fiancé have gone head-to-head in simultaneous interviews on morning television in the US.
Sofia calls her ex an 'opportunist' for taking the private matter public, while he maintains that he is just trying to protect two lives that 'have already been created'.
Documents obtained by In Touch magazine, show that Loeb is seeking to gain custody of two embryos which were created through IVF six-months before their split in May 2014.

Speaking on Good Morning America, Sofia addressed the issue but said it would be the last time she would discuss the matter publicly.
"I’ve been working very hard for 20 years to get to this point where I am," she said.
"I promote all my movies, all my work, but I don’t like promoting my private life. And I don’t want to allow this person to take more advantage of my career and try to promote himself and get press for this."
"This shouldn’t be out there for people to give their opinion when there’s nothing to talk about. There’s papers signed … I don’t understand why the media is allowing a person to just try to put me down, and make it like something is happening when nothing is happening."

A document, that was signed when the couple underwent the procedure, states that the embryos 'could only be brought to term with both parties consent' however Loeb is seeking to prevent his ex from destroying them and says is willing to raise them as a single father.
During an interview with the Today show, which aired minutes earlier, Loeb was asked if he was taking her to court because he wasn't over her.
"It has nothing to do with whether it’s her baby or a baby," he said.
"Lives were already created … I wouldn’t toss them aside."

In the legal papers, Loeb also claims that the Colombian actress 'abused' him during their on-off relationship.
"She physically abused him on four separate occasions, she punched him in the face on two occasions, kicked him and threw her phone at his head," the document claims.
"She also routinely bullied him, called him a loser, worthless and other degrading names."
The case is scheduled for court on May 22.
