Cate spoke to Australia's Sky News at the premiere of her latest film, Disney's new live-action Cinderella, on March 15.

"Fourth time around, it's extraordinary. We're besotted," she gushed.

Cate and her husband of 17 years are already parents to three sons, Dashiell, 13, Roman, ten, and Ignatius, six, who they conceived naturally.

Speaking of their decision to adopt, she explained: "There's a lot of children out there who don't have the good fortune that our biological children do, so it's wonderful. It's wonderful to welcome a little girl into our fold."

The couple's adoption news was first revealed March 6. They were said to have "especially wanted a girl to even out the household".
