As she proudly flaunts her beach-fit body for yet another fashion shoot, it seems impossible that singing sensation Jessica Mauboy was once mocked for her 'jelly belly'.
That cruel jibe, flung carelessly by Australian Idol judge Kyle Sandilands in 2006, could have scarred the shy 16-year-old.
But now, at 25, Darwin-born Jess is confident and in control, mastering her sexy curves by re-embracing her active childhood.

"We walked barefoot, we didn’t care," Jessica tells Show + Tell. "We played in the dirt. We were dirty kids. We were allowed to play in the waterholes, and not care about appearance. Not even colour. That never registered.’
Jessica, who now spends as little as four months a year in the Top End, still loves the great outdoors no matter where she’s living.

"I'm definitely more of an outdoors person, so whenever I get the chance I'll go for a run at the beach or in a park," she reveals in a recent issue of Marie Claire.
"Smelling the fresh air and being outside surrounded by colour and movement is really inspiring when you run.
"I also love a bit of yoga, and I do a bit of meditation just to stay still for a moment and keep calm. I love swimming whenever I can, and I’ll also do a bit of circuit training just to keep strong."
