Yahoo Lifestyle Ryan Reynolds: 'I would use my wife as a human shield'

New dad Ryan Reynolds says he'd "use his wife as a human shield to protect" his daughter if needs be during an interview with David Letterman on February 4.
The 38-year-old Green Lantern actor and wife Blake Lively, 27, welcomed their first child together six weeks ago, and the first-time dad couldn't help but gush over his 'amazing' new family.
"I'm not one for vomiting declarations of sentiment out across the airwaves, but when we had that baby, I fell more in love with my wife than I'd ever been in my entire life. I couldn't even believe it," he told the talk-show host.

"I used to say to [Blake], 'I would take a bullet for you. I could never love anything as much as I love you.' I would say that to my wife. And the second I looked in that baby's eyes, I knew in that exact moment that if we were ever under attack, I would use my wife as a human shield to protect that baby."
The 67-year-old late-night comedian proceeded to grill The Voices actor about possible baby names, since the couple have yet to reveal their child's name.
"We definitely [have a name]. I threw out the idea of just never naming the kid to be totally original, but we have a name. I just don't want to say it in, like, a media context. I tell everyone who I meet, so it'll come out," Ryan said.

However, that didn't stop the funnyman from continuing to harass the actor in a hilarious game of 20 Questions to try and narrow down the name, to no avail.
The hunky star also joked about how in awe he is of Blake's breastfeeding skills, while he describes himself as merely a 'diaper-changing facility', his wife is 'breakfast, lunch, and dinner'.
"She's a human Denny's, all day long and all night long. Romantic right? She's the most beautiful Denny's you've ever seen, though."
