There's nothing that quite takes you out of a good film or TV show like spotting a mistake in the background. And while Netflix is one of the biggest producers of film and TV in the world, it seems even they fall prey to a blunder or two.

Eagle-eyed fans have spotted a glaring error in the second season of Squid Game. And it's a pretty big one.

Viewers were left shocked after seeing the major blunder in Episode 7, where a camera operator is clearly seen in the background.

Taking to X, one user revealed the moment at 22 minutes and 39 seconds into the episode, which sees the contestants taking on the guards with guns. Amidst the chaos, a camera pans behind the contestants, inadvertently revealing one of the show's camera operators in the upper right-hand corner of the frame.

"Someone is getting fired from the Squid Game team after one of the cameramen was spotted in the background mid-episode," they wrote.

"How can such a big company not realise this," another said.

"How did I not noticed this when I was watching Squid Game?" a third questioned.

"Had to go watch myself, what a blunder," someone else added.

"Bro is definitely losing his job after that one," another joked.

"Multimillion dollar production and they don't watch back their footage," one viewer wrote.

"They rushed the release so it was out before 2025," another said. "It happened in editing so its their fault. Not the camera guy's fault."

"There's no way this wasn't noticed in editing with how meticulous/obsessive the director is. Very intentional to have this 'blunder' in the final episode of the series and a scene like this," one person suggested.

Many others compared it to the coffee cup appearing in an episode of Game of Thrones.

"This happens more often than people realise," one viewer added. "Even big budget films fall prey to this sort of editorial misses. Sometimes, they just run with it because of scheduling issues, or they noticed after the filming was already over."

"I would check again in a few weeks," another said. "Once there was a script left in a scene in a K-drama on Netflix and when everyone Tweeted about it, it was edited out."

Many other viewers have slammed the show's second season, saying it wasn't what they'd hoped for.

One disappointed viewer wrote, "Squid game S2: No resolution, no solid plot, leaves more questions than answers, lame a** (may I say painfully stupid) plan, barely any character developments, new cast is mostly fillers with no interesting backstory/motives, and predictable outcomes... wasted my day. 4/10."

"Squid Game 2 really is dumpster fire bad," another said.

"OMG Squid Game S2 is pissing me off so bad, I'm gonna pretend the majority of them chose to leave and stop watching it," a third said.

"I did not enjoy season 2 of Squid Game. At all. Hated the ending. A lot," someone else said.

Others loved it, with one user writing, "I’m surprised seeing some people thought Season 2 of Squid Games was mid when I thought it was more amazing and darker than before."

"I watched season 2 of Squid Game and I honestly loved it!" another agreed. "I loveeeeee the new characters and how much this season developed these new characters' stories. The plot was also sooo interesting and I'm so excited for season 3."
