Neil Lane Has Made Dozens of Engagement Rings for “Bachelor” Nation. This Is His Favorite One (Exclusive)
The celebrity jewelry designer has been crafting sparklers for the franchise for almost 20 years
Neil Lane has been designing jewelry for the biggest stars in Hollywood and beyond for close to three decades.
The expert is also the resident, in-house jeweler for the Bachelor franchise, designing one-of-a-kind pieces for all the reality TV couples.
Here Lane tells PEOPLE about a few of the rings that hold an extra special place in his heart.
Neil Lane has spent decades creating gorgeous custom engagement rings for the couples of Bachelor Nation — but there is one stone that shines brighter than the rest.
Chatting with PEOPLE earlier this month, the celebrity jewelry designer revealed that one his favorite designs is the one he made for Joey Graziadei, 29, and his fiancée Kelsey Anderson, who were on season 28 of The Bachelor.
“I really went backwards in time with the vintage aesthetic,” he recalls of the inspiration behind the Neil Lane Couture Art Deco-inspired ring that Joey proposed with in the finale.
The dazzling rock features a center emerald-cut diamond flanked with half moon diamonds. With the platinum band boasting 18 brilliant-cut diamonds, all the stones totaled approximately 4 carats.
Lane adds that he specifically looked to the 1920s for reference so that the look had an element of vintage glamour.
“Just seeing Kelsey so happy reminded me that there is possibilities, there is hope [in love]. I'm just going to continue to try to make the most beautiful rings I can,” he says.
When the couple was revealed in March, Lane opened up to PEOPLE about working with Joey — who was also The Bachelorette’s season 20 runner-up — on the design process.

The ring designer recalled that the groom-to-be went into the collaboration wanting to find a sparkler that captured “Kelsey's radiance, uniqueness, joy and sentimental nature.”
“He shared that the jewelry she wears daily all had sentimental value, including a piece from her late mother, so he did not take choosing a ring lightly," Lane said at the time. "He also divulged that he'd been in love with Kelsey for some time."

Another favorite of Lane’s is the cushion-cut diamond engagement ring he made for season 17 Bachelor Sean Lowe and his wife Catherine Giudici, who celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary this past January.
