Both Jeff and Liz Astrof, who are brother and sister, are veteran comedy writers and producers, but this marks the first time they have teamed up to create a series.

Jeff recently created the Starz series “Shining Vale” and previously co-created the NBC mockumentary series “Trial & Error.” His other credits include “The New Adventures of Old Christine,” “Grounded for Life,” and “Friends.”

Liz recently worked on the ABC comedy “Not Dead Yet” and as a consulting producer on “Shining Vale” and “Trial & Error.” She previously created the Fox comedy series “Pivoting” and has also written for shows “2 Broke Girls,” “King of Queens,” and “Raising Hope.”

Jeff Astrof is repped by CAA and Gendler, Kelly & Cunningham. Liz Astrof and Aldama are repped by CAA.

This is now the second NBC comedy pilot pickup in as many weeks. Previously, it was reported that Tracy Morgan is set to star as a disgraced former football player in a single-cam comedy pilot from Robert Carlock, Sam Means, and Tina Fey. Variety recently reported that Daniel Radcliffe is also set to star in that pilot alongside Morgan.
