NASCAR Winner Seemingly Takes a Page Out of Travis Kelce's Book as He Extends Invite to Blonde Popstar
A very convincing Photoshop job may just lead to the world's next Tayvis after one social media user made it appear as though Daytona 500 winner William Byron, 27, had flirted with Sabrina Carpenter, 25, in her Instagram comments.
The implication came from NASCAR fan page The Daily Downfords, which uploaded what looked to be a screenshot of the racer commenting "Hii" on Carpenter's post sharing her upcoming Vogue cover.
On Thursday, Feb. 21, Byron retweeted the faux post on his own account, adding a screengrab that appeared to come from someone else's apology video, proving that, while the communication wasn't legitimate, he took no issue with the idea.
"Wasn't planning on doing this today, but I guess so, okay?" the person in the clip said. "I'll start from the top. Look at this, open and honest; that was me."

Now, in a new interview with TMZ, the athlete is shooting his shot for real, inviting the "Espresso" songstress to meet up sometime.
"Maybe we can get her out to a race or something, that would be great," he told the publication. "Or I can get to a show. That would be fun."
He shyly complimented, "Her music's pretty good!!" when asked if there was a special message he'd like to send to the singer.
All in all, it's reminiscent of the spark that lit the fire between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift after he "put [her] on blast on his podcast," inviting her to a game following his failed attempt to slip her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it during her Kansas City Eras Tour stop.
While a source recently revealed to Parade that Carpenter is "taking some time to focus on herself" and is "enjoying being single" after breaking up with her former beau, Barry Keoghan, 32, the potential headlines are already writing themselves.
