“Narcos” Actress Andrea Londo Marries Greg Bekkers in 'Romantic' French Wedding: See the Photos! (Exclusive)
"It really is one of the most important and significant days in your life," Londo tells PEOPLE of the "emotional whirlwind" wedding
Andrea Londo is married!
The Narcos actress — who played Maria Salazar on the hit Netflix show — exchanged vows with Greg Bekkers in a June 15, 2024 wedding at “Le Domain du Rey” in Saint-Félix-de-Pallières, France.
Londo tells PEOPLE that the couple held their 60-guest nuptials in France so that they could get married near family members who were unable to travel.
"France has always been a very special place to us as a couple, so it was a no brainer choosing it as our destination," she says. "And Belgium is only a couple hours away, which is where Greg is from, so it was perfect!"
The couple wanted a very simple, “less is more” wedding color palette and theme, with the venue and specific details adding contrast for impact. "The bridesmaids wore soft bronze flowy dresses with a figure hugging silhouette and the groomsmen wore black suits with black bow ties," Londo notes.
Londo herself wore a cathedral veil with a Chosen by Kyha gown, as she explains, "I knew I wanted a timeless dress with covered buttons in the back."
Her father walked her down the aisle as a violinist played Elvis Presleys “Can’t Help Falling in Love."
"I’ll never forget having my Dad walk me down the aisle. He’s not a man of many tears, so to see him and feel him cry with emotion as he held my hand is a memory of my father I’ll take with me forever," Londo says. "Both Greg and I were crying when we reached each other, it was such a special, almost out of body experience."
Londo adds that she chose a blusher veil for the ceremony. "My Dad lifted it when we got to the altar, and I felt like a true 'Mexican bride' all the more for it," she says.
While Londo's sister-in-law Natasha Bekkers officiated, the couple exchanged handwritten vows, with the bride saying the writing process was "nerve wracking," but worth it.
"It’s a really grounding thing to do in the midst of all the hectic planning," Londo says of writing her vows. "It really reminds you what’s important and what the day is really about – celebrating the love you have for each other and this newfound journey you’ve chosen to start together."
Following the ceremony, the couple and guests (including Londo's Narcos co-star Arturo Castro) made their way to the reception, which was held outdoors beneath string lights and surrounded by olive trees.
We had simple colorful flowers and melted candlesticks scattered all along two long outdoor tables with a white tablecloth draped over top," Londo says, noting that the venue's "expansive view" and the texture from the surrounding buildings offered " the ultimate simple, rustic, yet incredibly romantic atmosphere."
While Londo kept her wedding dress on for the reception, she says she "changed the look of the dress for the evening by adding Fenty Beauty’s Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil in radiant finish to my eyes, a darker lip, and putting on the off-shoulder gloves that came with the dress."
Guests dined on a "very French" plated, four-course meal prepared by caterer “Husser Traiteur" before the couple cut their cake — one they hadn't tried before the big day.
"We didn’t actually try our cake before the wedding, which sounds crazy in retrospect!" Londo says. "We chose the semi-naked 'fine dark chocolate and praline crunch' cake. It tasted like a decadent yet balanced Ferrero Roche, and more than one person told us it’s the best cake they’d ever had."
The couple took their first dance to the song “Lost for Words” by Plested, which Londo says "became our song back in 2020, when it was playing on the radio the first time we held hands driving down Mulholland Drive."
The ceremony was bookended by more intimate events — including a dinner in Paris attended by 20 of the couple's closest family and friends.
"We had dinner at Le Caveau de l’isle and then walked around Paris and bar hopped the night away," Londo says. For the rehearsal dinner, some 30 guests gathered for a ceremony walk-through followed by pizza.
"It was really nice having a chill, no-pressure day before the big day," Londo says.
The Sunday after the wedding was equally casual, with the couple hosting a brunch by the pool area and, later, a barbecue.
"We finished the night playing Uno, eating leftover cake, and drinking champagne," Londo says.

As Londo describes, she and Bekkers met as the result of "a fateful swipe right in 2019," with Bekkers ultimately proposing during a 2022 trip to Arizona.
"We were on a roadtrip through Arizona and Utah," Londo says, noting that after a day of exploring, they arrived back at their accommodations to find the balcony decorated with flowers and champagne.
"He proposed at sunset with a photo album that ended with a picture that had 'Will you marry me?' written on it. He played a song he wrote for me in the background the entire time," she adds.
Now married, Londo says marriage, for her, means "having your favorite human by your side as you navigate life’s ups and downs."
Bekkers agrees, adding that his new bride's "passion for life keeps me present and mindful of the little things, which are the most important things."
And while Londo says the couple didn't have big expectations for their wedding day, they were both "profoundly surprised and impacted by the emotional whirlwind and significance of every moment throughout the day."
"It really is one of the most important and significant days in your life," she says. "The memories made, feelings expressed, and stories shared are forever tethered to the people we experienced them with and with our love for each other."
