Following news that she's lost an endorsement deal with a vitamin company, Nadia Bartel has been fined almost $5,500 for breaking lockdown restrictions by attending a private gathering in Melbourne last week.
In footage obtained by the Herald Sun, which was reportedly accidentally posted to one of the former WAG’s friend’s Instagram accounts, the 36-year-old appears to lean over the plate and snort a line of white powder.
In a statement supplied to Yahoo Lifestyle, Victoria Police said:
"Four women have been issued with Penalty Infringement Notices following a gathering at a Richmond address in contravention of the Chief Health Officer’s restrictions.
"The incident occurred at a private address on Thursday 2 September at 4pm.
"A 36-year-old Windsor woman, a 32-year-old Richmond woman, a 33-year-old Pascoe Vale woman and a 35-year-old Strathmore woman have all be issued with a penalty infringement notice for failing to comply with requirements in relation to a private or public gathering. The monetary penalty for each Penalty Infringement Notice is $5452.
"A fifth woman at the address was not charged as she was complying with CHO employment restrictions.
"Enquiries into possible drug offences are ongoing."
Nadia apologises: 'Deeply sorry'
Over the weekend, the video of Nadia allegedly snorting white powder off a Kmart dinner plate attracted widespread attention on social media.
Nadia has since taken to her social media account to apologise, writing: “Hi Everyone. I have let you all down by my actions.
"I take full responsibility and I am committed to taking all necessary steps to ensure I make better choices in future.
“To my family and friends, my business partners and the public health workers trying to keep us all safe, I am embarrassed and remorseful.
“I am truly and deeply sorry. I hope I can earn your forgiveness and, in time, your trust.”
However, JSHealth Vitamins, a company Nadia has promoted on her Instagram account, has now cut ties with the former WAG.
"We, like many of you, are shocked and disappointed by the recent actions of an individual who has endorsed our products," they wrote.
“JSHealth fundamentally supports all public health orders in place to keep us safe in this hugely difficult time for so many. We do not tolerate illicit behaviour.
“Please know we have taken immediate action and will no longer be working with this individual – or anyone who does not align with our values.”
Nadia married AFL great Jimmy Bartel in 2014 however the pair parted ways in 2019.
“It’s been a very difficult month for me and the boys,” she told the Herald Sun at the time, saying she was “heartbroken”.
Before their split, she had been a staple on the Brownlow awards red carpet and became one of the biggest WAGs in the country.
Since then, she has relaunched her clothing label Henne and her spray tan company, Spray Aus.
