Mum wows with $1 Christmas decoration hack

Fans can't wait to try this themselves.

A savvy mum has shared a budget way to decorate for Christmas and fans are loving the "genius" idea. Rachel Meaders took to her popular Instagram page to share how she transformed cheap baubles into unique ornaments.

Taking plain, clear baubles she'd bought in bulk on Amazon, Rachel revamped them with a matte balloon cover. The $1 DIY trick allowed her to create custom-coloured decorations that perfectly match her decor for a fraction of the price of other ornaments.

Taking a balloon, Rachel cut off the top to create a bigger opening. She then removed the top of a bauble and placed it inside the balloon. Once the balloon was wrapped around the bauble and any bumps were smoothed out, she placed the cap back on and it was ready to hangh.
