All the movies you'll want to see in 2025, from 'Superman' to 'Snow White'
Look, up in the sky! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It's ... Snow White, multiple Robert Pattinsons, karate kids, dinosaurs and Harrison Ford as a Hulk.
Oh, yeah. Superman, too.
While awards-season lovers are still wondering which of last year's crop of movies will conquer the Oscars, we're looking ahead to the biggest and best stuff arriving in 2025. And so far so good, with a trio of Marvel superhero movies (including a new Fantastic Four), the return of the Man of Steel, the second part of "Wicked," plus next chapters of the "Karate Kid," "Jurassic World" and "John Wick" franchises.
Here are exclusive peeks at 15 movies heading to theaters in 2025 that you absolutely, positively must see:

‘Heart Eyes’ (Feb. 7)
What screams love and romance more than blood and death? The rom-com slasher flick stars Olivia Holt and Mason Gooding as a pair of Seattle co-workers who are mistaken as a couple and targeted by an infamous masked psycho labeled the Heart Eyes Killer, who wreaks gory havoc every Valentine's Day.
‘Captain America: Brave New World’ (Feb. 14)
Anthony Mackie inherited Cap's shield from Chris Evans and now gets his own solo Marvel movie. After a meeting with newly elected President Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford), high-flying Sam Wilson (Mackie) finds himself at the center of a dangerous global conspiracy in the superhero political thriller.
‘Paddington in Peru’ (Feb. 14)
In the live-action comedy threequel, beloved raincoat-clad bear Paddington (voiced by Ben Whishaw) discovers that his aunt has vanished back home in Peru. With his adopted human family, Paddington travels from London to South America for an adventure through the Amazon filled with mystery, high jinks and some treasure.
‘Mickey 17’ (March 7)
Directed by Bong Joon-ho, the sci-fi dark comedy stars Robert Pattinson as an extremely disposable space worker named Mickey: Every time he dies, a new "copy" of himself is printed with memories intact. That is, until the 17th Mickey actually survives a deadly expedition to another world and trouble arises when he meets Mickey No. 18.
'Novocaine' (March 14)
Affable everyman Nathan Caine (Jack Quaid) has found his dream girl (Amber Midthunder) and when she is taken hostage in a bank robbery, he goes on a one-man mission to rescue her. But Nate is able to utilize one very weird special skill on his quest: He doesn't feel any physical pain.
‘Opus’ (March 14)
The horror film centers on an ambitious young writer (Ayo Edebiri) invited to the isolated compound of an iconic pop star (John Malkovich) who mysteriously disappeared and hasn't been seen in three decades. There she discovers, surrounded by the musician's cult of followers, the twisted machinations behind his grand return.
‘Snow White’ (March 21)
Disney's live-action musical retelling of the 1937 animated classic casts "West Side Story" breakout Rachel Zegler as Snow White. The "fairest of them all" is forced to flee her kingdom by the Evil Queen (Gal Gadot), and in a nearby forest she befriends seven very different but color-coordinated helpers.
‘Sinners’ (April 18)
"Black Panther" director Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan reteam for a Western-tinged horror film about Southern twin brothers (played by Jordan) who return to their hometown hoping to move on from their troubled pasts and find some serious evil has infected the place.
‘Thunderbolts*’ (May 2)
Misfit Marvel antiheroes – including Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Red Guardian (David Harbour), Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) and U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell) – are recruited for special-ops missions by an enigmatic woman (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) in the irreverent superteam adventure. (We're also dying to know what that asterisk means.)
‘Karate Kid: Legends’ (May 30)
A crossover guaranteed to sweep the leg. OG karate kid Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Miyagi-esque sensei Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) team up to train a kung fu prodigy (Ben Wang), forced to relocate from China to New York City due to a family tragdy, when he enters a martial arts competition.
‘Ballerina’ (June 6)
The "John Wick" spinoff might feature a cameo from Keanu Reeves' hard-luck hit man, but it's mainly an action-packed star vehicle for Ana de Armas. She plays Eve, a ballerina-turned-assassin who's on a bloody quest to avenge her dead father in a thriller that also features the final screen role of "Wick" regular Lance Reddick.
'Elio' (June 13)
In the Pixar animated sci-fi adventure, 11-year-old Elio is a huge fan of space who yearns to be abducted by aliens someday. He gets his wish: Colorful extraterrestrials take him on board their ship, thinking he's leader of Earth, and the kid embarks on an eye-opening journey of seeing incredible sights and figuring out his place in the universe.
‘How to Train Your Dragon’ (June 13)
Dean DeBlois directs the live-action redo of his 2010 animated adventure about a Viking teenager named Hiccup (Mason Thames) who refuses the orders of his father (Gerard Butler) and won't kill the dragons that attack their village. The kind Hiccup winds up becoming best friends with one, a rare beast he names Toothless.
‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ (July 2)
In the latest "Jurassic" installment, a covert operations expert (Scarlett Johansson) and a paleontologist (Jonathan Bailey) are tasked with securing DNA samples from three massive dinosaur species in an effort to create a lifesaving miracle drug. And along the way, they run across a sinister discovery kept secret for decades.
‘Superman’ (July 11)
Director James Gunn brings the Man of Steel back to the big screen for his rebooted DC movie universe. David Corenswet is the new guy in the red cape, Rachel Brosnahan plays ace journalist/love interest Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult co-stars as villainous Lex Luthor in an adventure that introduces Superman's best friend: Krypto the dog.
