“Mormon Wives ”Star Jessi Ngatikaura Documents $2K+ Nose Job After Being Insecure About It During Filming

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jessi Ngatikaura is getting candid about her recent nose job.

The Mormon Wives star, 32, took to Instagram on March 4 to talk about her Weir excision — a procedure that reduces the width of a person's nostrils — and how her time on the show affected her decision to have the surgery.

"I'm not ashamed to admit that because I'm human," she wrote on Instagram Stories when asked if filming the hit Hulu series made her more insecure about her appearance. "People have been awful about my looks & it definitely affected my confidence. But I also had insecurities before that I wanted to tweak so I took care of them!"

Ahead of the new season — slated to be released in spring 2025 — Ngatikaura added, "I'm hoping my skin will get thicker with each season bc this s--- is hard lol."

In an Instagram Reels post, she also took viewers through preparing for the procedure. She explained, "I have been wanting to do this forever. I've always been self-conscious about how wide my nostrils are especially when I smile and it's something I've always wanted to take care of."

She added that she initially thought she would need to get a rhinoplasty done to address her nostrils, but the doctors presented the Wier excision as an alternative option for her that typically ranges between $2,000 to $5,000.

In her video, Ngatikaura also documented the recovery process, explaining that "most of the swelling and redness is within the first week" and she ended up having her stitches removed after "5 - 7 days."

While the final results could take between three months to a year to finally show up, Ngatikaura shared a before and after photo on her Instagram Stories, noting that she was able to see a slight difference even with the swelling. "You can see the nostril looks a little smoother and smaller," she said.

The Weir excision is not the only cosmetic procedure Ngatikaura has done. During season 1 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Ngatikaura gathered her fellow MomTok members to commemorate getting labiaplasty for "a mommy makeover."

"A labiaplasty basically takes the inside of your vagina, the material that's a little more sensitive, and tucks it up inside," she explained in the confessional. "Pregnancy kind of pushes it out and mine decided to stay there. And now after having two kids, even though physically I look back to normal, there are things that will never be the same."
