Morgan Freeman won't soon forget collaborating on the big screen with Jack Nicholson.

The two Oscar winners costarred in the 2007 dramedy The Bucket List, which Freeman, 87, opened up about on the most recent episode of Dax Shepard and Monica Padman's Armchair Expert podcast, released Monday, Dec. 2.

"Did you have fun doing Bucket List? How'd you get on with Jack Nicholson?" asked Shepard, 49, to which his guest hilariously replied, "I met him prior and told him I'd give him my left testicle."

"He was asked if he'd do it, and he said, 'Send me the script.' I sent him the script and he said, 'Yeah, let's do it,' " Freeman added. "So there we were, me and Jack Nicholson."

The Bucket List stars Freeman and Nicholson as two terminally ill men who bust out of their cancer ward and head off on a road trip with a wish list of to-dos before they die.

The Rob Reiner-directed movie was a box-office success, making $175.4 million from a budget of $45 million.

Asked whether he ever got "self-aware of what [he] was experiencing" when working with Nicholson, 87, Freeman told Shepard, "No. When we were working, we were working at work. But then I go home and I go, 'Jesus f---ing Christ. Jack Nicholson.' "

"Yeah, but he was probably saying the same thing," remarked Padman. "It's a similar situation for him, I'm sure."

"Well, I don't know if Jack has that gear," said Shepard, to which Freeman quipped, "I don't think so!" but told Padman, "I like that attitude you got there."

Freeman allowed that he himself does "get that kind of response," meaning one of admiration, from "a lot of people" he works with.

But for him, "If I'm working with somebody that I hold that high up, to me, it's a ride-along," the veteran actor said. "We ride together. You take your run, I'm in it. I get it. So here comes mine. I just wanna compliment what you're doing."

"How have you done in the past with other, like, strong males? Is it easy for you to coexist?" Shepard asked.

Freeman's response? "Easy," he said. "Strong males aren't doing anything but acting."
