Mom Unveils Adorable Ways Cat Channels Energy of Beagle Sibling

There are some cats and dogs out there who will never get along, but after witnessing my dog's very different relationships with our two cats, I can say that has more to do with their personalities than their species. So much of it also has to do with the way they're raised; my dog was brought into a house with cats as a puppy, so she truly doesn't know any different — and she also has never lived with other dogs who would have changed up the dynamic, too. I have a feeling that a cat who is raised in a house full of dogs would be more inclined to get along with dogs in the same way, and this sweet video proves it.

In this Instagram Reel, one mom shared the sweet relationship between her cat and dog siblings, and they really are all just peas in a pod.

On Monday, September 9, Megan Cottone shared this sweet footage of her pets to show just how much her cat, Clea, acts like she's a dog, while her dog, a Beagle pup named Chloe, acts like she's actually a cat. Ah, yes, the circle of life (or something like that).

The video is filled with clips showing just how dog-like Clea can be, and her mom really isn't kidding! Not only does Clea go for a walk on a leash with her Beagle sister y her side, but she also sits for a treat, too. Wait, is this cat actually following commands?!

When they have dog playdates, Clea is right there, ready to join in on the fun, too, and she even loves stereotypically "dog" pastimes, like riding in the car and wrestling. Clea can hang, that's for sure — and her pup seems more than willing to welcome her when she wants to join the dog side.

Do All Beagles Get Along With Cats?

Is it just a coincidence that Clea gets along so well with her sister, or is this something that all pet parents can expect when they have a Beagle in the house?

Fortunately, this dog breed is one that tends to get along pretty well with cats in general (though there's no denying that Chloe and Clea do have a pretty special bond that's all their own).

According to the American Kennel Club (AKC), Beagles are known for being good with cats, since they have strong pack instincts that mean they naturally get along well with other animals. They will probably see a cat who lives under the same roof as a member of their pack, despite the fact that they belong to a different species.

Being willing to sit for treats, though? That's not something we can expect from all cats, so no word on whether or not Beagles can teach other cats those kinds of tricks...
