Ahead of the release of her new docuseries Molly-Mae: Behind it All, Love Island alumMolly-Mae Hague has addressed the rumors she kissed ex-fiancé Tommy Fury on New Year's Eve, while also commenting on claims that their breakup in August was a "publicity stunt."

Speaking at a press conference on January 15 about the new documentary series, Molly was asked by reporters about the supposed kiss. (FYI: After New Year's Eve, unverified pictures emerged of what appeared to be Molly-Mae and Tommy kissing.)

Molly neither confirmed nor denied the kiss took place, instead sharing the difficulty the pair are having navigating their breakup.

"This is a whole new territory for me," she said, adding "Our relationship has always been in the public eye, but to deal with this breakup, with millions of eyes watching, it is hard, it is complicated."

During the press conference Molly also addressed "painful" claims the pair's split was a "publicity stunt".

"For me, above everything, [that] has been the most frustrating part. I wish it was a publicity stunt, because it would be a lot easier. Because going through all of this, with the turmoil of a breakup, has been incredibly hard," she revealed. "I do see the comments, people saying this has obviously just been done 'to launch her brand or a publicity stunt.' It’s very painful to read because it’s real life."

She added: "Tommy and I have a baby together, and it's very, very real and it's a really hard thing that we've both gone through in the last six months."

In August of last year, Molly announced the couple, who met on Love Island in 2019 and who share daughter Bambi, had split. She shared a statement at the time, saying: "I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy's relationship has come to an end."

In the immediate aftermath there were claims the relationship had broken down due to Tommy being unfaithful. However, Tommy denied this and in a recent interview with Men's Health, and revealed the couple broke up due to his alcohol addiction.

"The reason why me and Molly broke up was because I got addicted to alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be anymore,” he told the publication. “It kills me to say it, [but] it’s true, I couldn’t. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink, and it is what it is. People go through different things in life and we all have our crosses to bear. I’ve got mine to bear.”
