Modern Family star pokes fun at wardrobe malfunction

A wardrobe malfunction is generally something associated with a little bit of embarrassment or an awkward moment, but it doesn’t have to be, as people including celebrities are laughing off fashion mishaps more and more.

Modern Family star Sarah Hyland poked fun at a potential slip up in an Instagram post on Thursday, admitting she was on the verge of revealing more than she wanted to while wearing a plunging dress.

“A girl, a view, and a questionable wardrobe malfunction,” she captioned a series of photos of her laughing off the moment on board a Seine River cruise in Paris.

The photos, taken by her fiancé Wells Adams, received almost 500k likes in the first 24 hours, with plenty of her 6.9m Instagram followers joining in on the joke.

“Two views,” one person quipped.

“Hahahaha adorable,” another added.

While a few wondered if her outfit perhaps wasn’t the best choice for an outing in Europe when it’s almost winter.

“It’s currently freezing in Paris! How are you not cold in that dress?!?” one person asked.

The TV star wasn’t the only one laughing off a potential slip up, with the Duchess of Cambridge taking a small wardrobe wobble in her stride during an appearance last week.

It was a true Cinderella moment that had Kate giggling, after her heel fell off momentarily, almost sending her tumbling into the gravel.

She was attending the Shout's Crisis Volunteer Celebration Event with husband Prince William, and video of the moment shows the Duchess being a good sport and laughing off the mishap along with William, who couldn’t resist a chuckle himself.
