Mindy Kaling Debuts Priceless Hermès Kelly Bag Customized with Her 3 Kids’ Names and Blinged-Out Charms

Mindy Kaling is a cool mom.

The actress, 45, spent a chic 36 hours in Paris for Fashion Week and she carried a special accessory to remind her of home while she was traversing the City of Light.

In an Instagram post shared on Jan. 27, the Office alum showed off a black alligator-skin mini Hermès Kelly bag customized to feature all three of her kids’ names spelled out in bedazzled letters and accented with hanging charms. A similar bag can be found for resale online for upwards of $88K — minus the customization. Yet another bag from an earlier Hermès collection will run you a slightly cheaper price tag (just $59,500) and get you a very similar vibe as well.

Kaling is mom to son Spencer, 4, and daughters Katherine “Kit,” 7, and Anne, whom she quietly welcomed in February 2024 and whose birth she announced in June that year.

The Never Have I Ever creator, who has never revealed the identity of the father of her children, mostly keeps her kids out of the spotlight and doesn't share photos of their faces when updating fans on her family life on social media.

During her time in Paris, Kaling sat front row at Patou’s Menswear Fall 2025 show with Catherine Reitman, Juliana Canfield, Justine Lupe and Pauline Chalamet. She wore a brown plaid skirt set and bold red strappy heels.

She also spent her free time playing tourist, having a nighttime photo shoot in front of the Eiffel Tower, shopping at the Schiaparelli store and browsing Hermès bags.

Her stylish photos got a compliment from her friend Reese Witherspoon, who commented, “International Super Star.”

There’s nothing like a personalized Kelly to cement one’s status as a trendsetter (the bags, which are named after Grace Kelly, can resell up to tens — if not hundreds — of thousands of dollars depending on the design and rareness), and Kaling’s bold sense of style is very present in her household.

When making a surprise appearance at Sephoria this past September, Kaling caught PEOPLE up on her daughter Katherine’s love for fashion. It turns out the budding fashionista has a “lot of strong opinions” about clothes already.

"She has a really specific vision of what she thinks is pretty and what she doesn't," Kaling said. "[A dress is] not glamorous to her unless it touches the ground. I think it's because you're not allowed to wear evening-length gowns to first grade. So it's like the forbidden. So when I go out, if I'm just wearing a minidress, she's like, 'It doesn't touch the ground. It's not beautiful.' So she has a lot of strong opinions."
