Miley Cyrus slams ex-husband Liam Hemsworth in song lyrics
Miley Cyrus has been hard at work on her new album She Is Miley Cyrus following her split with Cody Simpson and divorce with Liam Hemsworth and it seems as though the singer is airing some dirty laundry with some songs.
The Sun reports there are numerous references to Miley's failed marriage to Liam in the new album.
In one track called 'Win Some, Lose Some', Miley reportedly sings, "Last night was the nail in the coffin, Lord knows we were already dead.
"Look back and the memory’s haunted, can’t believe we did it again, yeah. Can’t count all the times that I faked it, thank God for the thoughts in my head."

The references continue with another lyric, "You know me the best, but you hurt me the worst, my darling. I can’t pretend any more."
Miley and Liam dated on and off after meeting in 2009 on the set of The Last Song, they later married in December 2018 and split in August last year.
In another song called 'WTF Do I Know', Miley reportedly sing, "Maybe getting married just to cause a distraction."
She also sings, "You wanted an apology? Not from me. I had to leave you in your own misery. So tell me, baby, am I wrong that I moved on? And I don’t even miss you.
"Thought that it'd be you until I die, but I let go."
In a recent interview on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Miley spilled the beans on the breakup, saying that she found it hard that she was villanised at the time.
“I worry sometimes that I can get over things easily. I don’t fall to the floor and crawl up in a ball the way that I used to and I think that’s a part of me growing up,” Miley said.
“I recently just went through a very public divorce that f****** sucked. What really sucked about it wasn’t the fact that me and someone that I loved realised that we didn’t love each other the way that we used to anymore, that’s ok, I can accept that.
“I can’t accept the villanising. It’s just amazing to me that the public kind of thinks that there’s no gap of time that they didn’t see that could possibly be what led to this. It's not ‘one day you were happy on the carpet and the next day you were making out with your friend in Italy WTF’. Well there was a lot of time in between that that you didn’t see.”
