Michelle Yeoh Debuted a Blonde Bob at L.A. “Wicked” Premiere and Ariana Grande’s Reaction Is Everything — Watch!
Yeoh surprised her castmates with the new look at the film's L.A. premiere on Saturday, Nov. 9
Michelle Yeoh has gone blonde — and her Wicked castmates are here for it!
Yeoh, 62, debuted a chic blonde bob at the Los Angeles premiere of Wicked on Saturday, Nov. 9. The Everything Everywhere All at Once star walked the red carpet at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, then approached several of her castmates — including Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Jeff Goldblum and Jonathan Bailey — as they posed for photos.
Grande, 31, was the first to notice her costar’s new look, putting her hand over her mouth as she excitedly exclaimed, “Michelle!”
Erivo, 37, and Goldblum, 72, seemed equally thrilled as they looked towards Yeoh.
In addition to the glamorous bob, the Crazy Rich Asians actress — who plays Madame Morrible in the new film — donned a black embellished Balenciaga gown, completing the look with a diamond choker and sparkly ring.

Yeoh’s blonde locks harken back to her Wicked character’s icy blonde hair, and seems to continue the cast’s penchant for method dressing. Grande and Erivo — who play Glinda and Elphaba respectively — have dressed almost exclusively in their characters’ signature colors during the film’s promotional events.
And Yeoh’s stylish reveal wasn’t the only cute moment captured at the Nov. 9 premiere. Cameras also caught Grande adjusting boyfriend Ethan Slater’s bow tie during a sweet exchange.

Wicked is set to be released in two parts: Wicked: Part One is in theaters Nov. 22 and part two is slated for Nov. 26, 2025.
