Michelle Park To Host New Weekly Entertainment Series ‘The Takeaway’ On GoldenTV

EXCLUSIVE: Social media influencer and Alan’s Universe star Michelle Park has been set as the host of the new GoldenTV Hollywood news series The Takeaway, which will premiere on the cable channel on Sept. 20 at 8PM PST/11PM EST. The Takeaway airs every Friday with re-runs the following Saturday morning.

The Takeaway will cover trending stories in film, TV, art, music, showbiz events and sports with in-depth interviews featuring established and rising API entertainment world stars as well as non-API celebrities. Park’s comedic sensibility, as seen on her social channels, will be infused throughout the new show.

Exclusive clips will be released on the GoldenTV streaming platform, as well as on ChimeTV and GoldenTV socials throughout the weekend and the following week. The first season airs from September to November.

Korean-American actress, producer, and internet personality Park stars on Alan Chikin Chow’s YouTube global hit series, Alan’s Universe, which has pulled in more than 250M viewers with an average viewership watch per episode of 10M. Park recently starred on the 51-episode vertical series Final Call for Love. She is currently in the works on her own vertical series; a growing serial format stateside. Among Park’s feature credits is the $64M-global grossing 2020 China event movie, The Rescue. Among the brands that Park is a social media spokesperson for are CJ ENM Global for the recent KCON K-Pop confab, Bibigo (in a Los Angeles Lakers tie-in) and premium theatrical formats, ScreenX and 4DX. Park is a graduate of UCLA’s Professional Program in Acting for the Camera.

Park tells Deadline, “On top of being able to work with talented people and change-makers in the API entertainment industry like Character Media, I am honored to now be a role-model to future generations and to be able to be someone who helps highlight and bridge the success of the entertainment industry in the API community.”

“On my recent solo trip I went on, I was able to meet people from all around the world who were also solo traveling. As we shared about our lives, it was shocking that many people don’t know about the API experience or about our culture. I hope that this show can share all the amazing things we’re doing within the API entertainment industry and showcase more of who we are and what we’re about, to both the API and non-API communities,” added Park.
