The Grammy winner’s girlfriend, Adriana Gillett, wore a black bikini and her hair piled up in a bun. The fashion designer and former journalist enjoyed a walk on the beach with Hetfield. The two were also photographed embracing in the water.

On Feb. 16, Gillett posted a sweet series of photos with Hetfield, captioning the Instagram carousel with a message that read “Happy Valentine’s Day to my love!! When you truly see all of each other and only love them more- you know you have your person!! Thank God ❤️.”

The first photo showed the two of them dressed up while posing on a white sand beach with palm trees and the ocean behind them, while in the second snap they beamed brightly in what appears to be a restaurant booth. The third and final photo shows the couple smiling on the beach as the surf breaks in front of them. Gillett wore large sunglasses, while Hetfield sported a cream-colored cowboy hat.

Prior to dating Gillett, 45, Hetfield was married to costume designer Francesca Tomasi from 1997 until 2022. The former couple share three children, Cali Tee, 26, Castor Virgil, 24, and Marcella Francesca, 23.

Hetfield was soaking up the sun in Mexico, but will soon be back on tour with Metallica. The metal band, which took a break in September from its M72 world tour, will hit the stage again this spring.

The rockers will pick back up in Syracuse, N.Y. on April 19 before crossing the border into Canada, where they’ll do a string of performances in Toronto before returning to the United States for concerts on the East Coast.
