Meshel Laurie shows off new look in rare photo: ‘Truly glowing’
Meshel Laurie has shown off her impressive transformation in a rare photo posted on Instagram.
The comedian and podcast host shared a snap online posing alongside Professor Richard Bassed, a forensic pathologist profiled in her new book, CSI Told You Lies.
“Hanging with Chapter 4 Superstar Professor Richard Bassed,” she captioned the post.
The image, which shows Meshel smiling while holding her book to the camera, quickly racked up a number of likes and comments from fans who applauded her new look.
“Wow Meshel you look amazing, truly glowing. Can’t wait to get my hands on your book,” one person wrote.
“What a beautiful photo of you Meshel,” another added, while a third remarked, “Are you ageing in reverse?”

“You look 12! What’s your secret?” someone else wrote, to which Meshel replied, “Some people light us up don’t they?”.
The former Nova host previously shared a photo of her slimmer figure on social media last month, which was also met with lovely comments from her famous followers.
“You look amazing!” former Bachelorette Georgia Love commented, followed by Gogglebox’s Anastasia and Faye with, “Look at you hottie”.
While Meshel rarely shares photos of herself online, she revealed in her 2017 book, Buddhism for the Unbelievably Busy, that she underwent gastric bypass surgery the previous year.
“I decided to undergo weight loss surgery (gastric bypass) in late 2016, and I’m so glad I did,” she wrote.
“Yes, it’s embarrassing to have to go to that length to rein my body in, but I’d rather be embarrassed than unable to walk.
“In a way I feel lucky to have had such clear signals from my body that I needed to turn my health burner back on, when I still had time to do something about it.”
Her latest book, CSI Told You Lies, is described as ‘a surprisingly moving account of the real forensic pathologists at the frontline of Australia's major crime and disaster investigations’.
Meshel currently hosts the popular podcast Australian True Crime alongside author Emily Webb, as well as Calm Ya Farm which she launched earlier this year.
