Back in the early 1990s, soon after he gained widespread acclaim for his role as Uncle Jesse on the sitcom Full House, John Stamos doled out $430,000 for a vacant six-acre plot of land in the Los Angeles suburb of Calabasas and enlisted architect Les Makowski to design a custom home for him. Now the Mediterranean-style digs high above Malibu Canyon have popped up for sale, asking a speck under $13 million. Alessandro Corona of Compass holds the listing.
Famously owned by the actor and musician for almost a decade until 2001, when the place traded hands for around $2.2 million, records show the property was last sold to politician Justin Aguilera and his beauty entrepreneur wife Candace in 2020 for nearly $3 million. Since extensively remodeled by the couple, the white stucco and red terracotta-roof structure offers six bedrooms and an equal number of baths filtered across a little more than 8,100 square feet of glitzy living space on two levels laced throughout with black-and-white veined marble and gold accents.

A grand set of steps leads up to the portico entrance, which opens into a column-studded foyer displaying dual staircases and a mezzanine balcony overlooking an elegant living room sporting a gigantic crystal chandelier and striking two-way fireplace set next to a soaring wall of glass. Other highlights include a media room, plus a wood-paneled entertainment area decked out with a full seated bar. A former recording studio has been transformed into an office.

The 61-year-old California native began his acting career as heartthrob Blackie Parrish on the daytime soap opera General Hospital in the ’80s and went on to land the iconic role of Jesse Katsopolis on the popular sitcom Full House. He later reprised the role in the Netflix spinoff Fuller House, for which he served as an executive producer. An accomplished musician, he’s also appeared on Broadway and occasionally performs with the Beach Boys.
