It may be 'the race that stops the nation', but Melbourne Cup fashion is the real highlight with many Aussie stars out enjoying the day after the pandemic cut celebrations down drastically over the last two years.
There is a long list of rules when it comes to dressing for the Melbourne Cup, including things such as no cut-outs, rips or tears, thongs, sneakers or casual shoes, and no denim of any kind.
Delta Goodrem, who was slammed for her support of racing last month, wore a bright, floral two-piece Dolce & Gabanna outfit for the day. She added a black hat and lace gloves, along with black heels and a tiny red handbag.
Fans on Twitter wrote that they thought Delta looked "stunning" and "incredible".
Myer ambassador Tayla Damir posed with her AFL player husband Nathan Broad, with the former Love Island star wearing a bright yellow silk slip dress with a matching headband and black and yellow checked coat. Nathan kept things simple with a blue suit and tie.
Christian Wilkins, a VRC ambassador, opted for a silky green three-piece suit with a large red bow tie and a tiara. He added dark green platform heels to his ensemble and kept his long hair out in waves.
Green is historically "bad luck" at the Melbourne Cup, but he didn't seem fazed.
Melissa Leong went for a blush pink oversized suit, embracing the VRC's new non-gendered fashion rules.
Her fellow MasterChef judges Andy Allen and Jock Zonfrillo looked smart with Jock rocking a navy double-breasted suit and bright red tie, while Andy went for a brown suit and grey tie.
Former MAFS stars Jules Robinson and Cam Merchant didn't let the rain put a dampener on their day, showing up in bold colours.
Jules wore a bright red suit, while Cam wore a maroon checkered blazer, with pink pants and a matching tie.
Neighbours star Tim Kano rocked a grey three-piece suit for the occasion, which he accessorised with a paisley tie and brown shoes.
Survivor's Brooke Jowett looked beautiful in her floral midi dress, which she teamed with a matching purple headband.
The Bachelorette's Ciarran Stott went for a brown ensemble, choosing an overcoat, matching pants, grey waistcoat and floral tie.
Sports presenter Tara Rushton stunned in a Zimmerman mini dress and Rachael Lee Hay headband.
Olivia Molly Rogers looked beautiful in her figure-hugging red dress and futuristic fascinator.
Tegan Martin, meanwhile, opted for a bright pink long-sleeved mini dress with a matching hat, earrings and clutch.
Nadia Fairfax wore a pink wrap dress with a matching hat for the event, accessorising with metallic gold heels and minimal jewellery.
Simone Holtznagel wore a figure-hugging orange dress and matching hat, as she posed with her PT boyfriend Jono Castano, who kept things simple in a beige suit.
Terry Biviano wore a white and pink dress with dramatic sleeves, while her husband Anthony Minichiello went with a navy suit and pink tie and pocket square to match his wife.
Rozalia Russian chose a beige shirt, skirt, tie and hat.
Cody Simpson, who will be singing the National Anthem at the event, looked smart in a blue blazer with matching blue waistcoat, checked blue and white shirt, patterned blue tie and chinos.
