It’s been two months since Meghan Markle was last seen publicly and royal watchers are very much missing the allure that comes with documenting her every move.

But fans fear not, the duchess’ comeback could take place much sooner than expected.

Meghan is slated to join the rest of the royals at Trooping the Colour to celebrate the Queen’s birthday, in less than two weeks’ time.

The event is one of the most significant in the family’s calendar, highlighted by the whole clan taking their place on Buckingham Palace’s famed balcony as the Queen’s subjects line the streets below.

Also on the day’s agenda is decked-out British pomp and circumstance which includes a carriage parade down London’s Mall and a celebratory RAF fly over.

But while missing out on such a significant family do isn’t typical of notoriously hard working Meghan, she is still in the midst of maternity leave with baby Archie.

The royal bub was born just one month before Trooping the Colour is set to take place on June 8 and will undoubtedly put added pressure on new mum Meghan if she were to step back into the full public glare.

But like most things the royals do, we can look to years gone by in order to get an indication of what the family’s famous members will do next.

Last year Kate Middleton was at a similar point in her maternity leave with Prince Louis when she attended the Queen’s official birthday celebrations.

Although her official post-birth time off lasted until October, the duchess still took part in important family events including the royal wedding and Trooping the Colour.

And while Archie won’t take his place on the balcony alongside his cousins just yet, another young royal likely will.

Prince Louis, at 13 months old, is now the same age Charlotte was when she made her balcony debut, meaning Will and Kate’s youngest is preparing to take part in the first of a lifetime of official royal events.
