Meghan Markle Wears Plunging Red Halter Dress to Los Angeles Gala
On Saturday, Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance as a guest at the 2024 Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Gala. The event honors CHLA’s patients and the hospital’s pediatric workers. The Duchess of Sussex looked stunning in a bright red Carolina Herrera gown with a halter top and a plunging neckline.
The skirt featured a knee-high slit and she wore the look with red strappy sandals and a gold bangle. Meghan had her hair down in soft tendrils and she wore a natural makeup palette.
Her husband, Prince Harry, was not in attendance, but she walked the red carpet with Alliance of Moms founder Kelly Mckee Zajfen.
The Suits actor has worked with the hospital before, leading a Literally Healing session this past spring in which she read Rosie Revere, Engineer to the kids, sharing it was one of her favorites. In a red carpet interview posted to Instagram, she called the CHLA the “best place in the world” for treatment.
“Oh my goodness, the work they do at Children’s Hospital L.A. is other worldly, and I think from my standpoint as a mother, no one wants to be in a position where you need to go to a place like this, but if you have to, the best place in the world you could go would be Children’s Hospital L.A.,” she said.
She continued, “The staff is incredible, and the amount of work they do for families that really could not afford this level of care is something that I think should never be overlooked. So I’m just grateful for everything they do.”
The gala guest list included Chuck Lorre, Sugar Ray Leonard, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kaley Cuoco, Colin Hanks, Jimmy Kimmel, Molly McNearney, Sky and Mark Hoppus, Al Yankovic, and Demi Lovato.
