Meghan Markle tries to end rift with father after he suffers a stroke
Meghan Markle is reportedly trying to end her four-year rift with her estranged father Thomas Markle after he suffered a stroke last week.
The Mirror reports that the Duchess of Sussex reached out to her father when he left the hospital.
"Despite their estrangement, Meghan is concerned," a source revealed. "She wants to know if there is any way to contact her father privately, without other family knowing about it or having to get involved."
The source shared that Meghan is concerned that if she were to try and get in touch with her father, she'd also have to speak with her half-siblings Thomas Jr and Samantha, who she believes are using her fame for their own "agendas".

"If she can contact their dad, she wants it to be totally private. It won’t involve Netflix, it won’t involve any photographs and it must not involve any tip-offs to the paparazzi."
Thomas was in Mexico when he reportedly had a "major stroke" and needed to be taken across the border to San Diego.
It's believed that Thomas lost his speech following the incident, which comes after an earlier health scare according to The Sun.
Meghan and Thomas' relationship began to crumble when he posed for paparazzi photos ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.
He didn't attend the pair's wedding after suffering a heart attack before the nuptials.
Thomas claims Meghan never responded to his attempts to get in contact with the Duchess speaking of her father's "betrayal" during her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey last year.
The rift continued when a letter Meghan sent Thomas became public, leading to a court battle over copyright and privacy.
As a result, Thomas has never met Harry, or the pair's children Archie, three, and Lilibet, who turns one on Saturday.
