Meghan Markle's ‘secret calls’ to Kate Middleton: 'Stop the outbursts'
Meghan Markle has reportedly been making 'secret calls' to her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton in a bid to make peace after the Sussexes' various tell-all interviews.
A royal insider told Heat magazine that the US-born duchess considers Kate her 'only hope' to safeguard her and her husband Prince Harry's titles and to mend their rift with the wider royal family.
Meghan's calls to Kate
"Meghan's fearful of losing her title, and the repercussions of Harry's statements about the royals in his recent Apple TV+ documentary with Oprah Winfrey," the insider claimed.
"She's secretly reached out to Kate, as she knows that the only hope they can have of smoothing things over with the family is to get Kate on their side," they added.
Harry's latest bombshell claims in the Apple TV+ doco are said to have renewed calls for both him and his wife to be stripped of their royal titles altogether and further widened the divide between them and the Firm.
But according to Heat's source, the Duchess of Cambridge would prefer to "stay out of any 'secret talks'" due to concerns that "anything she says could be used against her".
"But," they noted, "[Kate] wants peace and civility, especially seeing how much pain this caused William, Charles and the Queen.
"Her only words of wisdom for Meghan and Harry are to stop once and for all with the public outbursts."

Speaking out
As far as 'public outbursts' go, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's biggest to date has to be their sit-down interview with Oprah which aired on CBS in March.
During the explosive chat, Harry revealed that his father, Prince Charles had cut the couple off financially while Meghan countered claims that she made Kate cry before her wedding, saying that it was the reverse that occurred.
A few months later, Harry told actor Dax Shepard on his Armchair Expert podcast that Charles had handed down a "cycle of genetic pain and suffering" to him, which prompted his decision to leave the UK with Meghan and son Archie.
And most recently, in Apple TV+'s The Me You Can't See, the prince opened up about his personal mental health struggles and also accused the royal family of "total neglect" and "bullying him into silence".
Harry and Meghan, who now call California home, welcomed Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor in the morning of June 4 (US time). They named their new baby girl after her great-grandmother, the Queen, and her grandmother, the late Princess Diana.
