Meghan Markle returns to her acting roots in $7.6k designer outfit
Meghan Markle has officially returned to her acting routes – however, it wasn’t to Suits as some recent rumours have suggested.
On Wednesday, the Duchess of Sussex visited the National Theatre on London’s South Bank in a stunning, head-to-toe blush outfit.
The 37-year-old, who is due to give birth to her first child in the coming months, wore a blush pink blazer ($2,555) and co-ordinating dress by Brandon Maxwell ($2,965) with her Aquazzura Matilde pumps ($7,92) and her Carolina Herrera ‘Insignia’ roll clutch bag ($1,300) for the visit.
At the National Theatre she met with some of the teams and apprentices working behind the scenes, and watched a performance by schoolchildren from Edith Neville Primary School in Camden.
It was Meghan’s first engagement as a patron of the theatre after the Queen passed the role onto her earlier this month.
In her past life, the former actress had several roles in TV series and films, but the one she was most known for was playing paralegal Rachel Zane on Suits from 2011 to 2017.
While Meghan spent 10 years working in television, her training is in theatre.
As well as a double major in theatre and international relations from Northwestern University, in Illinois, the Duchess volunteered at a performing arts after school programme for children in underprivileged school districts in Los Angeles.
