This is why Meghan Markle never seems to get her hair cut

Meghan Markle has been regularly in the public eye since November last year, when her engagement to Prince Harry was first announced.

But royal fans may have noticed something strange about the 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex: she never seems to get her hair cut.

Although she is often pictured by the press, Meghan’s long, shoulder-length hair remains the same length, in contrast to the Duchess of Cambridge’s hair, which went from long, wavy tresses to what’s now known as the ‘KOB’ (‘Kate bob’), before she grew it a little longer over the summer of this year.

So how does Meghan avoids haircuts altogether? Jack Merrick-Thirlway, senior stylist at Neville Hair & Beauty, explains the Duchess might use a hair technique known as ‘dusting’.

He tells Yahoo UK: “Meghan Markle looks as if she gets ‘dusting’ as her hair always looks shiny and healthy but without changing length.

“The concept of a ‘dusting’ haircut is little and often. By trimming your hair regularly ie once every 4 weeks, you have to take off minimal amounts of hair each time, unlike if you have a haircut every 6 months and need to cut a few inches to seal the ends and eliminate damage.

“Also, clients that are trying to grow their hair long often make the mistake of not cutting their hair for months assuming this is the way forward, whereas if they had ‘dusting’ on a regular basis the hair would grow quicker and healthier with no need to cut inches off each time.”
