Meet the cast of “Extracted”, Fox's brutal new survival series with a family twist (exclusive)
In the new reality competition series, 12 players stranded in the Canadian wilderness must rely on loved ones for help.
Survival-themed competition shows place contestants in all kinds of perilous situations — harsh terrain, frigid temperatures, and little or no sources of sustenance. But the new reality show Extracted, premiering Feb. 10 on Fox, features what could be the scariest survival twist yet: Players aren't allowed to leave until their family and friends — who are watching them from afar — decide they've had enough. That ought to make Thanksgiving 2025 extra awkward.
Entertainment Weekly has the exclusive first look at the 12 brave souls who will endure the elements for a chance at $250,000 — and the loved ones who will attempt to help them from the safety of Extracted headquarters.
According to the official description from Fox, "Extracted features 12 untrained competitors attempting to survive extremely grueling conditions, perilous terrain, and the threat of fearsome predators in the unforgiving Canadian wilderness. Meanwhile, some miles away, their family members are locked down at a secluded headquarters watching them navigate their dangerous surroundings alone via a 24/7 live feed. The fate of each untrained contestant in the wilderness lies in the hands of their family members back in HQ. Each amateur survivalist's family has the power to decide whether their loved one has what it takes to brave the elements and fight to be the last one standing, or whether the family will push the ominous 'Extract' button and remove their loved one and their whole family from the competition."
The families and friends in HQ will also compete against each other to win much-needed supplies for their loved one. The last player (and family) standing will earn the $250,000 prize. Meet the teams below.
