Meet the Cast of 'Claim to Fame' Season 3 and Learn Their 'Two Truths and a Lie'

Claim to Fame is back for its third season, gifting us with yet another summer of pop culture knowledge testing and amateur detective work. Claim to Fame is of course ABC's hit reality TV show that puts relatives of celebrities all in a Hollywood mansion together with one directive: keep your famous family member's identity a secret. Each week the contestants compete in challenges to earn clues about who their competitors are related to and each week one identity is revealed and one contestant is sent packing. The last player standing takes home $100,000 and their own "claim to fame."

Of course while the contestants are pouring over their notebooks and the clue wall in Los Angeles, we have the benefit of internet access and endless Wikipedia pages to scour as we try to decipher the secret identities of these cast members. While Seasons 1 and 2 had twelve players entering the house, Season 3 only has 11. Better odds for the contestants and SLIGHTLY less work for me as I begin my investigation.

Prior to the Season 3 premiere, ABC has released the names and photos of the 11 players along with the traditional "two truths and a lie" that they share opening night in the house. Even with these few clues, I was able to make some pretty strong guesses this year, so its a lot of useful information to get started on. Here's the brand new cast and my first set of guesses as to who their relatives might be.

Adam

Two truths and a lie:
My celebrity relative is my: UNCLE
My celebrity relative is best known for being an: ACTOR
The biggest award my celebrity relative has won: GRAMMY

Initial guesses: While there are actors who have won Grammys, it's fairly rare and most likely the actor would have also won some sort of acting award. So I'm assuming that the uncle part is true and that the we're either looking for an actor or singer. If his uncle is middle aged, we could have someone like Bon Jovi or Tim McGraw on the singing front or people like Kevin Costner or Dennis Quaid on the acting side. Pretty open here.

Bianca

Two truths and a lie:
My celebrity relative is my: AUNT
My celebrity relative is best known for being an: ACTRESS
The biggest award my celebrity relative has won: PEABODY AWARD

Initial guesses: Okay Bianca has done a very nice job confusing me because really any of these things could be a lie. Peabody Awards are media awards given to a whole slew of people including newscasters, but also actors/writers (Quinta Brunson has one). Bianca could be Quinta's sister lets say, but she could also have an aunt who is an actress without a Peabody like Angela Bassett or Niecy Nash or some kind of journalist with a Peabody.

Danny

Two truths and a lie:
My celebrity relative is my: UNCLE
My celebrity relative is best known for being an: PRO WRESTLER
The biggest award my celebrity relative has won: GRAMMY

Initial guesses: The few pro wrestlers I know don't seem to have Grammys (at least not according to a quick Google check), so that makes me think that the uncle part is true and that we're either looking for a pro wrestler or a singer. If it is someone like Hulk Hogan or Dwayne Johnson, I think I'd try VERY HARD to keep people away from that idea, so I have to think the relative is a Grammy winner, in which case there are hundreds of middle aged men with Grammys to choose from. Elton John? Blake Shelton? Chris Martin?

Dedrick

Two truths and a lie:
My celebrity relative is my: UNCLE
My celebrity relative is best known for being an: SINGER
The biggest award my celebrity relative has won: BEST ROCK SONG

Initial guesses: Okay IDK what this "Best Rock Song" award is, but it seems obvious that Dedrick's relative is a singer. Either an uncle who might have performed in a genre other than rock? Smokey Robinson? Marvin Gaye? Or else a rock singer who isn't an uncle? Maybe someone like Little Richard who could be a grandfather or maybe someone like H.E.R. who could be his niece/daughter?

ABC

Gracie Lou

Two truths and a lie:
My celebrity relative is my: UNCLE
My celebrity relative is best known for being an: MUSICIAN
The biggest award my celebrity relative has won: EMMY

Initial guesses: FIRST, we have to acknowledge the Gracie Lou Freebush of it all. I want to say her relative is Sandra Bullock and her name is a hint, but that doesn't line up with these clues. The musician/Emmy pairing is another odd one which makes me think the uncle part is true and either she has an uncle with a Grammy or who is an actor. Lots of room here. Bruce Springsteen? Justin Timberlake? Kelsey Grammer? Bill Hader?

ABC

Hud

Two truths and a lie:
My celebrity relative is my: MOM
My celebrity relative is best known for being an: SINGER
The biggest award my celebrity relative has won: GRAMMY

Initial guesses: Okay the singer/Grammy combination here makes sense, so I think the lie could be the relationship. That really leaves most singers fair game. Is he Justin Bieber's cousin? Lainey Wilson's brother? Joni Mitchell's grandson? Another of Donny Osmond's 800 kids?

ABC

Jill

Two truths and a lie:
My celebrity relative is my: GRANDFATHER
My celebrity relative is best known for being an: ACTOR
The biggest award my celebrity relative has won: PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD

Initial guesses: The grandfather/People's Choice Award combination feels a bit odd to me given that presumably Jill's grandfather would be quite old and the People's Choice Awards are newer BUT John Wayne and Bob Hope did win People's Choice Awards. I think more likely is that she is related to a younger actor however. Cole Sprouse? Joey King? Chris Hemsworth?

ABC

Mackenzie

Two truths and a lie:
My celebrity relative is my: DAD
My celebrity relative is best known for being an: SINGER
The biggest award my celebrity relative has won: TONY

Initial guesses: This is another nebulous set of answers, because any of them could be the lie. Perhaps its a Tony-winning female like Patti LuPone or Bernadette Peters? Perhaps it's a Tony-winning actor like Bryan Cranston or Billy Crudup? Perhaps it's a singer without a Tony like Keith Urban or Steven Tyler? I really have no idea.

ABC

Miguel

Two truths and a lie:
My celebrity relative is my: GRANDFATHER
My celebrity relative is best known for being an: ACTOR
The biggest award my celebrity relative has won: OSCAR

Initial guesses: This one is tricky, because if I'm assuming that Miguel's relative is Latinx, we've got very few Oscar winners to choose from. If the grandfather part is the lie then it could be Benicio del Toro, Rita Moreno or Ariana DeBose. Otherwise, could this possibly be Desi Arnaz's grandson? Or maybe Danny Trejo's? If Miguel had a white grandfather though, there are a lot more options.

ABC

Naomi

Two truths and a lie:
My celebrity relative is my: COUSIN
My celebrity relative is best known for being an: SINGER
The biggest award my celebrity relative has won: YOUNG ARTIST AWARD

Initial guesses: The Young Artist Awards are mostly for actors, although there are some singing awards. Either way, no one in the house is going to know who has or doesn't have one of those. If Naomi is savvy, she could have said singer as the lie to throw them off the scent in which case people like Tom Holland and Josh Hutcherson have a Young Artist Award. She could also just be related to a Grammy winner too. Kacey Musgraves? Taylor Swift?

ABC

ABC

Shane

Two truths and a lie:
My celebrity relative is my: COUSIN
My celebrity relative is best known for being an: ACTOR
The biggest award my celebrity relative has won: OSCAR

Initial guesses: Lastly we have Shane and his chicken wing necklace. I think his relative must be an actor, but we could have someone who isn't his cousin like Denzel Washington or Viola Davis. It could also be a cousin who hasn't won an Oscar like Issa Rae or Michael B. Jordan.
