Meagan Good Embraces Bold Cutout and Asymmetrical Elements for ‘Magazine Dreams’ Screening
Meagan Good embraced one of the hottest red carpet trends for a screening of “Magazine Dreams” on Tuesday in Culver City, Calif. The film served as the opening night screening for the 2025 Pan African Film and Arts Festival.
For the red carpet occasion, Good opted for an asymmetrical dress featuring a dramatic cutout and thigh-high slit. The black maxidress featured one long sleeve and one short sleeve, along with a crew neckline.

Adding to the asymmetry of the design, Good’s dress featured a bold cutout on one side, which met a thigh-high slit. At the base of the cutout and the start of the slit, a red ribbon element featured as an added pop of color against the black fabric of the dress.
The actress wore strappy sandal heels with the look. As for her glam, Good styled her hair in an updo with cascading curls falling down her shoulders. Her makeup featured a bold brow, smokey eyes and a glossing lip. She further accessorized with statement earrings.
Last month, Good joined her fellow “Harlem” cast members for the promotional tour ahead of the series third and final season premiere. The actress wore several wintertime-inspired looks, including a burgundy dress she wore to the Empire State Building on Jan. 14.
For the “Magazine Dreams” screening, however, Good forwent wintery attire in favor of cutouts — a trend that was notably apparent on the red carpet for the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday. Such stars as Olivia Rodrigo, Cynthia Erivo and Miley Cyrus styled cutouts for their designer looks.
“Magazine Dreams,” starring Good’s fiancé Jonathan Majors, tells the story of an amateur bodybuilder and the ways in which his life changes as his celebrity grows. The film debuts in March.
