'Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches' Season 2 Lands AMC Premiere Date, Reveals First-Look Photos
As previously announced, Season 2 of “Mayfair Witches” will debut on AMC and AMC+ on Jan. 5. The show is based on Anne Rice’s “Lives of the Mayfair Witches” novels and is part of AMC’s so-called Anne Rice Immortal Universe alongside “Interview with the Vampire” and the upcoming “Talamasca” series. The former series has already been renewed for a third season while the latter is currently in production for a 2025 debut.
The official description for Season 2 states, “Season two of Anne Rice’s ‘Mayfair Witches’ continues the journey of Rowan Mayfair (Daddario) after she has unwittingly given birth to the demon Lasher (Huston). She is determined to understand what he has become – human or monster? – and to use him to fulfill her purpose as a healer, but when tragedy strikes, she must put aside her own desires and fight to protect her family.”
The cast of the series also includes Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa, Alyssa Jirrels, Ben Feldman, Ted Levine, and Thora Birch. The series is executive produced by Mark Johnson, showrunner Esta Spalding, Tom Williams, Michelle Ashford, Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice, and is produced by AMC Studios. Johnson executive produces under his overall deal with AMC Studios, through which he oversees all the shows in the Immortal Universe.
