Bachelor couple Matty J and Laura Byrne welcome baby girl

Bachelor lovebirds Matty J and Laura Byrne have shared the happy news they have welcomed their first child - a baby girl.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday the pair, who have been together since meeting on the reality show in 2017, shared a host of photos cuddling their daughter.

Matty J introduced his little girl to the world as Marlie-Mae Rose Johnson in a gushing Instagram post.

“Still letting the last 24hrs sink in... they are the most rewarding loving and emotional I’ve ever experienced,” the former Bachelor wrote.

“Becoming a Dad was better than I ever could have imagined.”

Jewellery designer Laura also shared some photos to her own Instagram account, gushing over her “divine little slice of human pudding”.

She also revealed the sweet story behind her name.

“Named after our Nana’s,” she wrote.

It’s been a big start to 2019 for the couple, who announced their engagement in April.

Matty – full name Matthew Johnson – shared a cute post to reveal the big news, after he popped the question at sunset on a beach as the couple were travelling.

“You are my favourite everything @matthewdavidjohnson. YES to a lifetime of love and flamboyant dance moves with you my honey,” Laura wrote on Instagram.

They shared the happy news they were expecting back in December.
