The Bachelor's Matty J and Laura Byrne are engaged
Australian reality TV’s Matty J and Laura Byrne have announced their engagement after finding love on The Bachelor back in 2017.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday evening, the celebrity couple shared the exciting news which precedes the birth of their first child later this year.
“You are my favourite everything @matthewdavidjohnson. YES to a lifetime of love and flamboyant dance moves with you my honey,” Laura wrote on Instagram.
Attached were two photos – one of the newly-engaged couple, and another a closeup of the gorgeous engagement ring from Larsen jewellery.

Matty – full name Matthew Johnson – also shared a cute post to share the big news.
“There’s absolutely no one else I’d rather grow old and senile with. I can’t wait to start a family together and now I can’t wait to be your husband!” he wrote on Instagram, alongside a video of the loved-up pair on the beach where Matty popped the big question.
Matty and Laura’s engagement news comes after their announcement back in December last year that they’re expecting their first child.
“I’m so bad at keeping secrets so I’m EXTREMELY excited to let everyone know, we are having a little baby!” Matty wrote at the time.
He continued: “@ladyandacat I love you more than words can describe and I can’t wait to start our family together. WE ARE GOING TO BE PARENTS!!”
