MasterChef's Steph de Souza reveals her fave new finds at Aldi: 'The bomb'

Get your shopping trolley tokens ready because MasterChef alum Steph de Sousa is letting us in on her top seasonal Aldi finds, and she's discovered some real hidden gems.

"Who else gets that Aldi-rush when the seasonal range hits the shelves," the popular foodie captioned her TikTok video, admitting she practically knows the Aldi aisles better than her own living room.

"It's like a treasure hunt each season. This time I've got some absolute gems to share with you."

The season 11 contestant, known for her flavoursome home-cooked fare, made her way through the aisles of her local Aldi.

"This Pad Thai meal kit in the fridge section was absolutely delicious," she said, filming the $14.99 Ready, Set...Cook! item, and pointing out that it generously fed three people.

She went on to reveal her clever hack for using Mr Hamfreys bacon bites from the chips section as croutons for her leek and potato soup.

"They were so good," she exclaimed, "very addictive".

Steph went on to name $4.99 Ocean Rise long fin tuna as another fave, saying the fish fillets are "so good" she likes to eat them straight out of the jar.

She continued to the freezer aisle, highlighting Urban Eats onion bhajis and spinach pakoras, which she and her family enjoyed for a "lazy dinner", finding the flavour of the fuss-free meal option surprisingly "authentic".

Of course no meal is complete without dessert, for which Steph recommends the Indulge Crème Brûlée ice cream. She also revealed exciting plans for her next date night: trying Luv-a-Duck A L'Orange Duck Breasts.

Saving the best for last, Steph describes Choceur Peanut & Caramel chocolate as "the bomb", highly recommending it to fans of their pretzel variety.

"You are gonna love this," she exclaimed.

Fans of the MasterChef star chimed in to agree with her top picks, with many adding their own favourites for good measure. "Those bacon bites should be illegal... so good," one viewer commented.

"The pretzel chocolate is my favourite... I need to try that new one!" said another, while someone else joked, "how DARE you alert the masses to my fav chocolate! Shelves empty at my Aldi and I'm blaming you!"
