MasterChef contestant's bizarre confession baffles fans
MasterChef fan favourite Jess Liemantara left a few viewers scratching their heads after making a bizarre confession during Wednesday night’s episode.
Jess had just served the judges an epic dessert - a giant Ferrero Rocher ball - before revealing that her childhood memories of eating sweets also involved being forced to drink grass.
“My mum, she'd always make sure that we're healthy. She would basically blitz up some grass and make me drink that for my health,” Jess said.
“And the promise after drinking it - that she'd give me a sweet treat. So, this is sort of like my sweet treat. Luckily, you don't have to drink grass.”

Viewers of course were quick to take to social media to find out more about the bizarre grass drinking confession, with some wondering whether the story was true.
“We need more info on the grass drinking please,” one person asked.
Others however seemed to joke about trying the ‘grass shot’ for themselves.
“Breaking News: Drink grass to get skin as good as Jess,” one person wrote.
While another agreed: “Yeah I'd eat grass too if it came accompanied with that amazing Jess dish.”
Despite the quirky story, viewers are clearly loving Jess on the MasterChef: Back to Win series.
