Posing in a chic black outfit and a stunning gold necklace by Georg Jensen, Mel gave the camera a small smile while Rob stood behind her.

Mel, who split from her husband of almost four years in December 2020, paid tribute to Rob in her caption, praising him for 'taking over the world' then thanking him for 'having her back'.

"Watching you take over the world from a front row seat is nothing short of inspiring," she gushed.

"Thank you for having my back and being present through it all @therobmason," she added.

Father-of-three Rob is the founder of Morris Motley, an artisanal men's haircare and fragrance company in Melbourne.

The loved-up pair have worked together professionally in the past, with Mel revealing that Rob styled her hair when he worked as a hairdresser.

The couple first sparked romance rumours in September of last year when Melissa shared a solo photo of Rob on her social media alongside a glowing caption.

“Gratuitous hot dad post, a day late for Father’s Day,” she began.

“Creator of world-class cosmetics and the brains behind Morris Motley, brilliant father to a legendary babe squad and the best part of my day, nothing but love.”

The following month, the pair made it Instagram official with a sweet black-and-white snap, which Mel captioned, "This is us."

On the same day, she posted a black-and-white photo of Rob by himself with the caption: "Luckiest girl in the world."

The relationship update comes after Melissa announced on Instagram in December 2020 that she and her husband Joe Jones, who owns the Melbourne cocktail bar Romeo Lane, were separating.

“It has brought us such happiness to walk together, but the time has come for Joe and I to part ways and walk on, apart,” she captioned the now-deleted post.

“We ask for your kindness and consideration for our privacy, we will not be making any further comment as our private lives have, and will always remain exactly that. We wish you peace at the end of such a challenging year for all.”

The pair had eloped to the Californian desert in February 2017 after five months of dating.
