Martha Stewart's Fangirl Moment Over Rihanna Is So Relatable
Your favorite celebrity's favorite celeb.
It takes a lot for Martha Stewart to be impressed by someone, but when it comes to the one and only Rihanna, even she can't contain her excitement at an unexpected chance encounter.
Both Stewart and Rihanna, alongside boyfriend A$AP Rocky, attended the Footwear News Achievement Awards (FNAAs) 2024 at Cipriani South Street on December 4 in New York City. In between speeches, the pair of ladies had the chance to meet each other, with Stewart greeting the singer with a wide smile and a hug. After the event, Stewart couldn't help but gush over their encounter, as well as Rocky's good looks, on Instagram.
"RIRI @badgalriri is so beautiful ! And statuesque!" Stewart captioned the photo of her and the pop star and Fenty Beauty founder. "And has a very handsome and funny boyfriend asap rocky (@asaprocky), who was one of the FNAA(footwear news) honorees last evening @ciprianiNY along with yours truly ! I was gold (@officiallibertine and @skechers by Martha Stewart."
For the event, Stewart dialed up the glamour in an all gold ensemble that consisted of a shimmering, holiday ready jacket and a matching gold shirt, pants, and shoes. Rihanna, meanwhile, wore a custom white Alaïa gown with an artfully tousled bun. She completed the look with Manolo Blahnik sandals, and wore Chrome Hearts, vintage Van Cleef & Arpels, and Jacob & Co. for her jewelry.
Elsewhere during the event, Rocky took home the trophy for the Cultural Innovator Award. On the red carpet, the pop star couldn't help but share how proud of him she is, telling Entertainment Tonight:“I left my kids [their sons RZA and Riot] to be here. I’m super proud of their dad. That’s my baby daddy. He’s always influenced the fashion game. He’s always had a unique sense of style that designers have honed in on and actually used as inspiration for collection, and he’s never gotten the amount of credit that he deserves. Being here tonight, it just feels great to see him like achieve something that we always knew that he was a part of and influenced. And I’m proud to be here by his side. And it’s a big deal.”
