Married At First Sight's Stacey Hampton arrested and charged over lockdown breach
Married At First Sight star Stacey Hampton is facing three charges of breaching coronavirus lockdown restrictions after flouting lockdown restrictions.
The Daily Mail reports that the 26-year-old should have been self-isolating when she instead went on an interstate shopping trip.
Police arrested Stacey at Adelaide Airport on May 6 while on her way back from Melbourne – during this time only essential travellers were allowed to enter South Australia without isolating and non-essential travellers were forced to quarantine for 14 days.
An SAPOL spokesperson told Yahoo Lifestyle, "A 26-year-old woman has been charged with three counts for failing to comply with a direction under the Emergency Management Act – she has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 30 October.
"No other details will be released at this time as the matter is now before the court."
It seems as though Instagram was Stacey's downfall, as photos and videos as well as those of friends tipped of the police that she was flouting lockdown laws.
Daily Mail has text messages between Stacey and a friend where she revealed she was trying to claim she was an essential worker at her then-partner's security firm.
In the messages she said, "I'm meant to be self quarantine for 14 days pfft lol."

"I'll be ringing them tomorrow fighting it," she said. Her friend then asked what happened and she responded, "They tried to say security isn't an essential service."
Adding, "But I'm going to argue it... because it is."
She then wrote, "I'm not isolating lol." Stacey continued, saying, "Iso ain't stopping me."
Stacey revealed the police had photos of her shopping at Culture Kings and Dior, which is why she was fined.
Officers ordered Stacey to go straight home and isolate upon entering Adelaide, however, when they followed her home, they saw her stop and pick up her children from two separate residences.
A week after she was ordered to self-isolate at her home in Adelaide, she was seen again at Melbourne airport.
