MAFS star barely recognisable after incredible transformation

Former Married At First Sight star Jo McPharlin, who is also known as Foxy Jojo, has showed off her incredible weight loss transformation.

The 42-year-old, who appeared on Season 5 of the hit Channel Nine reality show, took to her Instagram account to share her journey with her 42k followers.

“I used to absolutely HATE my arms,” she started the post. “I would wear anything I could to cover them over even Cardigans or jackets on a 43° day but I learnt last year in fact that no one actually cared what they looked like but me.

“No one ever criticise them or made a comment on how big they were but me. I was my own worst enemy.”

Jo went on to say that when she stopped being so harsh on herself she realised how gorgeous she was both inside and out.

“That was the day that changed my life forever. So now I wear confidence with pride,” she continued.

“I don’t give a toss about what people think I look like I am just me. Love me or hate me I’m just me.”

Jo said that the weight loss isn’t what makes her feel like she’s gone through a transformation, it’s “about feeling beautiful in your own skin, owning what you have whether you are size 6 or size 36 have lumpy bits and bumpy bits, have one boob bigger than the other, have a baby bump, saggy bum cheeks, thighs that rub together”.

“I want you all to start the new year shouting to the world I am good enough love me as I am or sod off embrace your body everyone you only have one start loving it.

“As a very wise person said to me u only die once but you live everyday so start bloody living and enjoying life before it’s too late xx”

Jo was matched with Sean Donnelly on the reality TV show and while things didn’t work out for the pair, she’s still thankful to have gone through the experience.

“Two years ago today I took the biggest leap of faith and married a complete stranger,” she wrote on Instagram in September.

“What a full on roller coaster ride it has been since then. Even tho I never came out with my forever person I will never regret my time on the show and I’d still do it all again in a Heartbeat. Thank you so much to my family and friends who got to share this once in a lifetime experience.”
